Double standards at the NPA are institutional as it is not even in dispute anymore that the NPA, with their 90% or more black staff, discriminates on the basis of race when it comes to prosecutorial decisions, and other responsibilities like the granting of bail etc. We have now seen multiple times that the NPA jumped at the chance to charge a white person, deny bail and throw the whole prosecutorial book at them, whether they are guilty of any crime or not. However, a black taxi driver who shot and killed a white father and son in a traffic argument, was not even prosecuted, even whilst several innocent farmers are being held without bail.

There are problems in the ANC gravy train paradise after ANC Youth League members furiously protested over their exclusion from the list of PR councillors. Internal divisions are raging among the ruling ANC after two youth league regions, in the Free State and Limpopo, expressed their anger over the exclusion of the youth candidates names in the candidate list for the upcoming local elections. One such heinous and cynical case was portrayed when the Land Claims Court (Randburg) ordered that the books of the Moletele Community Property Association (MCPA) be examined by the Auditor-General, and the Director-General of Rural Development and Land Reform, not that it’s ever going to happen. MCPA, which claims that the Moletale people are a separate ethnic group, successfully claimed 27 properties in Hoedspruit, including two working farms.

SAPS in Cape Town barricaded the road to the Parliament, to prevent the “Bikers Against Farm Murders and Racism” march from reaching Parliament. When one of the bikers breached this barricade, they violently pulled him off his bike which fell over. The biker defended himself, punching at the SAPS official, and other bikers came to his defense. Thunderflashes were then fired off to quell the scuffle.

Only 59 years ago on this day 31st May, 1961, the Union of South Africa became an independent Republic as it withdrew from the British Commonwealth, however in 1994 ANC unilaterally removed the practice of celebrating the birth of the Republic every May 31st. While most people did not even notice this dictatorial act, it really begs the question, what is SA now if not a Republic and why is South Africa still even called a Republic? Given the ANC’s naked hatred of minorities and constant demonisation of the country’s past, why is the country still called The Republic of South Africa? Is “South Africa” not a colonial term?
