Farm murder suspect killed in attempted farm attack

One of the four suspects in the Herman Botha murder case, Thomas Baloyi (25), was fatally shot during an attempted farm attack in Kalkfontein outside Groblersdal last Wednesday.

LIMPOPO – Baloyi and three other suspects, Tobias Moyo (44), Fanie Makwaka (25) and Chris Langa (31) were on 29 November 2017 each granted R1 000 bail by the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court after they were arrested in connection with the murder of 64-year-old Herman Botha at his Kameeldoring residence last year.

Farm murders and attacks the past weekend is shocking

Several farm attacks and murders have occurred this past weekend, and in one case, “Kort” Hans Meyer was brutaly killed on his farm near Charl Cilliers, a town near Secunda in the Eastern Transvaal.
