How did a convict sentenced in 1996 to 10 years for robbery with aggravated circumstances find himself floating around the ANC’s elective conference in Mangaung in 2012, flush with a cool R50-million aimed at stoking factional battles in the ANC?
Continuing the tradition at Nasrec in December 2017, pressure was also allegedly placed on the SAPS to launder R45-million to buy votes. Details of this and other horrors of the Shadow State were revealed by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate at a Scopa report-back on Tuesday. The clean-up has begun.

We all know that Ramaphosa of the (ANC) African National Congress was involved in negotiations with the National Party from around 1991 and onward. Some call it peacekeeping. Admins would prefer to give it another name.
In 1993 came the CODESSA ACCORD. Here below (underneath the image is a more legible copy of this document) is the important part – page 2 of the memorandum the ANC submitted to their senior ANC members (underneath the image is a more legible copy of this document). THEY HAD US ALL FOOLED.

Former president Jacob Zuma’s rambling monologue on the SABC on Wednesday afternoon wasn’t just an arrogant, delusional act of defiance in the face of the ANC’s national executive committee (NEC) instruction to step down as head of state.
It was his final act of working outside the structures of the governing party, and of the state, and of using the resources that his deployment to government had enabled him to pursue his own agenda, often to the detriment of both.

What a difference eight hours makes! Or was Jacob Zuma’s late-night resignation on Wednesday predictable? His interview with the public broadcaster’s Mzwandile Mbetshe earlier in the day suggested that he’d rather face a vote of no confidence than resigning voluntarily. In hindsight, however, the afternoon interview appears to have been necessary, paving the way for the resignation. The interview also signaled that his resignation might not mean the end of this saga.
For starters, Mbetshe’s interview was quite insightful, especially because, and correctly so, he allowed Zuma to express his thoughts and emotions. Zuma saw the interview as a way to influence how the public should see his resignation. His merely reading his resignation speech on television, as he did on Wednesday night, created an impression of a meek figure being hounded out of office. That goes against everything Zuma believes about himself.
