Na die grondeis toegestaan is wil die 30 eienaars van 11,000 hektaar grond, ter waarde van R3 miljard, dit verkoop aan die regering vir R760 miljoen.
Dit staaf die feit dat “die mense” nie grond soek nie, maar eerder geld, en dit word gesien waar eens welvarende plase tot niet gaan sodra die grond oorgedra word aan swart begunstigdes.
Wat die saak verder interessant maak is dat Zwelithini nou die grond opeis as deel van grond beskou wat aan die Zoeloe-nasie behoort aangesien die eienaars onderdane van die Zoeloe koning is.
Waarnemers meen egter die 2,8 miljoen hektaar in sy besit is reeds genoeg en hy behoort nie nog grond te ontvang nie, maar wys ook daarop dat dit alles deel van n magspel is.
