The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police officer was arrested on Monday, June 4, on 6th street and Turf Road in Turffontein, south of Johannesburg, for allegedly attempting to solicit a bribe and enforcing illegally whilst not on duty, Comaro Chronicle reports.
The 33 year old Male officer was arrested by the members of JMPD Internal Affairs after he had stopped a motorist for disobeying a red traffic light, he spoke to the driver and allegedly attempted to solicit a R3000 bribe from the motorist.

From Actonville SAPS to Zonkizizwe Police Station, there are roughly 143 police stations in Gauteng, according to the SAPS official website.
Only one of these stations is equipped with a drug testing kit. This is according to MEC for community safety Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane, Kempton Express reports.

Five people have been arrested in connection with a cash-in-transit heist which happened in Boksburg‚ Ekurhuleni on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo told TimesLIVE at the scene on Atlas Road that the police’s speedy response to the heist resulted in the quick arrest.

Last Friday 4 May 2018, Ferdie van Greunen and his family arrived at their home in Lynnwoodrif. An unknown vehicle was parked in the driveway. Ferdie got out of his car and approached the unknown vehicle. At this point it became clear that the two people in the vehicle were burglars. One of them ran straight towards the vehicle in which Ferdie’s family was still sitting and attempted to drive away with it, thereby committing vehicle theft and abduction as well.
