South Africa is at the Brink: A country governed by chaos, violence and malice – There is no rule of law

ANC members want to run to the Courts for assistance against their own party
The ANC has no right to prevent its members from seeking court intervention in party matters when it hasn’t exercised its role in resolving issues itself. So says Mawande Ndakisa, an Eastern Cape ANC and Youth League member.
He is also one of the complainants who has taken the “festival of chairs” matter to the high court in Johannesburg for not resolving the issue properly.

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema on Wednesday again issued a call to poor black South Africans to occupy unused land illegally
Speaking in Parliament during the presidency budget debate, Malema said he had initially told supporters to scale down land occupations after the ANC supported a move to expropriate land without compensation to end South Africa’s skewed land ownership patterns. The opposition leader said Ramaphosa had since made “wishy-washy” statements on the matter.

One thing is clear: until poor South Africans own their homes, be they in cities or rural areas, development will stall
Cyril Ramaphosa was immediately hailed as a breath of fresh air after the decade-long Jacob Zuma debacle. The nation forgot, or ignored, his role in Marikana while his prowess as a businessman was lauded. A sensible, urbane politician who would save the economy.
His recent Cabinet reshuffle, however, reveals much of the same. The executive remains bloated and, with cronies retaining influence, his reputation for clean governance is shaken. The national conversation, however, has swung to expropriation without compensation.
