ANC veg verbete om Wes-Kaap terug te wen

Terwyl die DA met kopsere sit oor sy Kaapse dames, het die ANC ‘n grootkop ingespan om te probeer om die Wes-Kaap in volgende jaar se algemene verkiesing terug te wen.
Die DA weet nog nie hoe om van hulle Kaapstadse burgemeester, Patricia de Lille, ontslae te raak nie, terwyl hulle provinsiale premier, Helen Zille, ook nie meer bo-aan die party se gewildheidslys staan nie en hulle nog geen natuurlike opvolger vir haar het om die verkiesingsveldtog namens die DA te lei nie.
Die ANC het nou hulle voormalige premier en ambassadeur, Ebrahim Rasoo, nadergetrek om hulle veldtog te lei, en hulle glo reeds dat hulle die provinsie met 51% van die stemme gaan terugwen.

In the hours following the Democratic Alliance’s federal congress last weekend, party leaders boasted that the party had emerged more united and diverse than ever, insisting that the party’s detractors would now be silenced.
Indeed the floor at the Tshwane Events Centre was diverse. That same diversity was not reflected in the newly elected leadership. But what was also glaringly absent in the diverse gathering was the rise of a distinct DA identity.

Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille is expected to give reasons to the Democratic Alliance on why she attended a memorial hosted by the Economic Freedom Fighters for Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
DA Federal Executive chairperson James Selfe said that De Lille was required to consult the party before she attended the memorial service in Brandfort, Free State, where Madikizela-Mandela was banished by the apartheid regime.

Nelson Mandela Bay Mayor Athol Trollip has effectively survived a motion of no confidence after a special council meeting to debate it was permanently adjourned on Tuesday morning.

James Selfe:- Black people chose to elect white people at DA congress

Democratic Alliance (DA) federal executive chairperson James Selfe has said that it was a majority black delegation at the party’s Federal Congress that elected the party’s leadership because it is a capable one.
In an interview on Monday morning following the DA’s elective congress at the weekend, Selfe responded to critics who said that the party’s leadership is not diverse.
