The high expectations generated by the parliamentary motion of the ANC and EFF on the expropriation of land without compensation, are now resulting in the incitement of poor people to occupy land unlawfully. The EFF abuses these expectations by proffering that land grabbing is a quick fix for the problems the poor face. It is almost as if some really believe that owning a farm will turn you into a “rich boss” overnight.

Verskeie paaie in die Kaapse metropool, insluitend Jakes Gerwelrylaan en Highlandsrylaan in Mitchells Plain, is Woensdagoggend weens protesaksies gesluit.
Volgens Wayne Dyason, woordvoerder van Kaapstad se wetstoepassingseenheid, is ’n kitsbank, vrugtestalletjie en motor Woensdagoggend vroeg aan die brand gesteek.
Nóg ’n kitsbank is gevandaliseer en ’n winkel en taxi is met klippe gegooi.
Dit was vroegoggend nog nie duidelik waaroor die protesaksie gaan nie.
*Daar was vroegoggend ook betogings in Eldoradopark en Soweto in Gauteng weens ontevredenheid oor voorafbetaalde elektrisiteitsmeters, maar gemoedere is teen 9:00 gekalmeer.

ANC veg verbete om Wes-Kaap terug te wen

Terwyl die DA met kopsere sit oor sy Kaapse dames, het die ANC ‘n grootkop ingespan om te probeer om die Wes-Kaap in volgende jaar se algemene verkiesing terug te wen.
Die DA weet nog nie hoe om van hulle Kaapstadse burgemeester, Patricia de Lille, ontslae te raak nie, terwyl hulle provinsiale premier, Helen Zille, ook nie meer bo-aan die party se gewildheidslys staan nie en hulle nog geen natuurlike opvolger vir haar het om die verkiesingsveldtog namens die DA te lei nie.
Die ANC het nou hulle voormalige premier en ambassadeur, Ebrahim Rasoo, nadergetrek om hulle veldtog te lei, en hulle glo reeds dat hulle die provinsie met 51% van die stemme gaan terugwen.

END OF THE RIDE FOR RATANGA JUNCTION

It’s the end of the ride for Cape Town’s most iconic amusement park. Ratanga Junction will be closing at the end of April.
The theme park has been a special place for many Capetonians and tourists alike for almost two decades.
It’ll make way for a new mixed-use development.
Ratanga Junction General Manager Bill Taylor said: “The park itself is doing very well. We do a quarter million guests a year. We’re averaging over 2,300 guests a day, and it’s very solvent as a business. But the land has always been earmarked for development and it’s becoming under more development pressure as time passes.”
The Cape Cobra and many other popular rides will be making their last trip on the first of May.

The Cape Party was founded in 2007. In 2008, the Cape Party was officially registered with the IEC as a political party in the RSA.
Our first hope is that the ANC-controlled SA government engage in immediate negotiations to bring an end to the long-standing political, social and economic oppression that they have imposed without challenge on the Cape and its people to this day.
By allowing for greater provincial control over our own economic, social and political affairs we will, at the least, be able to relieve our people of some of the daily persecution we endure.
If the opportunity to negotiate fairly is not possible, then the Cape Party will be left no option but to use all legal and peaceful means to bring into effect greater autonomy of the Cape from the Republic of South Africa, or pursue complete independence… The Cape Republic.

Nog bergaanvalle is die naweek in die Tafelberg Nasionale Park aangemeld, en ’n groep stappers is naby Duikereiland deur drie gewapende mans beroof.
Table Mountain Watch het Sondag in twee afsonderlike twiets die voorvalle bekend gemaak.
In die eerste voorval Sondagoggend is ’n groep van 11 stappers op die Sentinel-roete naby Duikereiland beroof deur drie mans wat bewapen was.
In die tweede voorval is ’n fietsryer by Vlakkenberg beroof. Volgens Table Mountain Watch is dit die 40ste voorval vanjaar.
Die aanvalle raak al hoe gewelddadiger en slagoffers is al in dié aanvalle dood.
Kapt. F.C. van Wyk, polisiewoordvoerder, het die voorvalle bevestig en gesê niemand is nog in verband met die rooftogte in hegtenis geneem nie.
Van Wyk sê die polisie ondersoek steeds die voorvalle.
Sanparke het einde Februarie op ’n inligtingsessie bevestig die aanvalle op Tafelberg het die afgelope tyd gewelddadiger geraak

Wes-Kaap se “E-Tol” maak nou plek vir provinsiale brandstofheffing

By gebrek aan E-Tol, beplan die Wes-Kaapse regering beplan om ‘n provinsiale brandstofheffing in te stel bo en behalwe die nasionale heffing wat deur die regering gehef word.
Dit is klaarblyklik om geld te in om paaie te bou en in stand te hou.
Verskeie organisasies, waaronder OUTA, het hulle kommer uitgespreek oor die moontlike heffing. Motoriste betaal tans reeds R5,30 per liter heffing aan die staat.
Selfs die ANC staan die DA se voorstel teë.
Vir die provinsie, wat sy ergste droogte in meer as 70 jaar beleef, sal die ekstra uitgawe ‘n baie swaar las plaas op boere, besighede en alle ander motoriste.
Reeds in 2006 is daar in ‘n studie getoon dat so ‘n heffing negatiewe gevolge sal hê, maar ten spyte daarvan wil die DA beheerde Wes-Kaapse regering dit tog deurvoer.

Gewelddadige aksies deur onwettige inwoners by Dunoon het gelei tot die sluiting van die N7 hoofweg naby Potsdam.
Die polisie is vroeër die dag ingeroep om ‘n onwettige grondbesetting insident te ondersoek naby Dunoon wat gelei het tot die sluiting van die snelweg weens klippe en rommel op die snelweg. ‘n Vragmotor is aan die brand gesteek en motoriste is met klippe bestook. Geen arrestasies is nog gemaak nie.
Daar word groot kritiek uitgespreek dat die land se president van die nie sy magte gebruik en die polisie opdrag te gee om die misdadige elemente vas te vat nie.

The Universal Declaration of Independence which was signed at the historic Castle in Cape Town on 24th September 2017 claims the current Western Cape, The Northern Cape and the Eastern Cape up to the Fish River, as its sovereign territory with 15 Million citizens. Secession is the action of withdrawing formally from membership and participation of any federation, body or political state.
Representatives from white South African people approached the Khoi king with a plan for secession and it was discussed over a five hour long meeting. DA in Cape Town in Internal Chaos – De Lille survives motion of no confidence

On Thursday the DA failed to unseat its corrupt Mayor Patricia De Lille, who had been ordered to vacate her post by party leader Mmusi Maimane. The ACDP abstained from this critical vote as well, further strengthening De Lille.
These events signal the collapse of order and authority within the DA – Led City Council and raises questions over the real authority of Mmusi Maimane. His failure to wield real authority within the DA has led to a continuation of Patricia De Lille’s disastrous tenure as Mayor.
