A 42 year old male has been attacked & stabbed on his head & face in Ottawa – KZN by a lone suspect this (Sunday) afternoon.
Reaction Unit South Africa received the call for assistance at approx 16:32 & Reaction Officers were despatched to the Ottawa Railway Station to attend to the Robbery. Upon arrival Officers found a man bleeding profusely from open wounds on his head and face. The victim, Patrick Gumene explained that he had just got off the train after visiting his family at a farm when he was attacked by an african male with a broken bottle. After stabbing him, the suspect kicked him in the face and head & fled with his shoes, wallet & his work bag. The victim is a Pinetown resident & lives in the Ottawa area on weekdays for work purposes.
Paramedics were called to the scene, treated the victim & transported him to a local hospital.

The body of an 83-year-old woman has been found in her Summerstrand home.
The elderly woman was found after her stolen car was found in bushes near Despatch.
