President Jacob Zuma handed over 85 new tractors to the Masibuyele Emasimini (back to the fields) project in Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal in June 2010 to encourage small-scale farming.

According to Smalle, farm manager Jasper von Clause was fatally shot on Wednesday. His partner and son were also wounded during the same attack at Dale Farm just outside Lephalale.
The second attack took place on Thursday evening between Roedtan and Mookgopong. Ockie Breedt Jnr was stabbed eight times by two unknown attackers who are currently still at large

Johannesburg – Farmers’ organisation Transvaal Agricultural Union of SA (TAU-SA) on Wednesday warned it would use every means possible to stop the expropriation of land without compensation.

62 year old South African farmer Riaan Scheepers died in December 2017, after a weeks long battle to stay alive following a savage beating from attackers.
A message from his daughter Bianca Scheepers shared on WhatsApp‚ states: “Papa went to a better place this afternoon at about 5pm. One of his lungs struggled to get air and let enough oxygen into his blood. His heart was too weak to work anymore. We want to thank everyone for all your concern‚ prayers and support during this time. We value it.”

Farms burnt as violent protests erupt in KZN

Durban – Chaos has erupted in the northern KwaZulu-Natal town of Eshowe, after a 30-year-old man was shot dead while fishing at a farm in the area on Wednesday night. The man was reportedly shot dead by a security guard. After the shooting, a mob of angry residents barricaded the R66 with burning tyres and rubble.
The guard, 21, has since been charged with murder. Colonel Thembeka Mbhele, police spokesperson, said the guard is due to appear in court soon.
