When voters chose their parties on May 8, it’s likely that personal issues, such as grants and RDP houses, will have a major bearing. Most South African social grant recipients do not believe that the opposition parties would not take away their government grants. And this could influence who they vote for, come May 8’s..

No more water at Gauteng state hospital – operations canceled and patients diverted
The Bertha Gxowa Hospital in Germiston has had to cancel operations and divert patients because of a failure of water supply from the City of Ekurhuleni municipality, the Democratic Alliance in Gauteng said on Sunday.
“I visited the hospital last week on Friday after receiving reports that the hospital ran out of water the day before. It appears that the problem is due to a faulty water valve, and water tankers have been sent to fill the hospital’s reservoirs,” DA Gauteng MPL Jack Bloom said in a statement on Sunday.
The reservoirs could hold 140,000 litres of water, but the pumps could only work when it was half full and not enough water tankers were sent on Friday – each tanker held 18,000 litres.
“I am concerned by the slow response of the municipality which is putting great strain on the hospital as it tries to cope with a minimal amount of water,” he said.
The water supply problems needed to be resolved as soon as possible before, otherwise infection r

The ANC Has Finally Pushed South Africans Too Far – South African citizens are #gatvol of this corrupt & deceitful, and uncaring and incompetent ANC Government
South Africans are treated like animals at Tlhabane Community Health Center (CHC) in Rustenburg. This facility was officially opened by Health MEC, Dr. Magome Masike on in 2014, to address the main challenge of access to health care.
The disgusting and dangerous conditions in state run hospitals show a wilful negligence by the Department of Health, managed by the ANC.
It is well known that the Department of Health has been mismanaging state hospitals – South Africans are regularly mis-diagnosed, ignored, left for days without treatment, and receive horrific care. The results sometimes are catastrophic.
The ANC’s neglect of our hospitals is tantamount to criminal behaviour – who would have expected our own black government to be the ‘reincarnation’ of the oppressive apartheid regime? This is far worse however, since vulnerable South Africans are neglected at the moment when they are most helpless .
The ill people are treated cruelly, like animals being

State Capture wipes out third of SA’s R4.9-trillion – calculations on price tag don’t even touch on the untold costs of loss of trust, reputation and opportunity
The cost of State Capture hovers at around R1.5-trillion over the second term of the Jacob Zuma administration. That’s just short of the R1.8-trillion Budget for 2019. Put differently: State Capture has wiped out a third of South Africa’s R4.9-trillion gross domestic product, or effectively annihilated four months of all labour and productivity of all..

What a check! These kids want everything on a silver platter for free – UKZN students burn mattresses in protest over ‘uncomfortable’ beds – African mentalism is destroying our country
Fed up with the poor condition of their beds, University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) education students have resorted to setting them on fire.
Students at a university residence in Hospital Road, near Durban’s South Beach, burnt the metal frames of their beds on Sunday night to voice their dissatisfaction.
On Monday morning, burning mattresses were seen being flung out of windows at the residence, occupied by education students from the UKZN’s Edgewood campus. The protest resulted in lectures at the campus being cancelled.
Student representative council (SRC) president Sanele Hlongwa told TimesLIVE that they set their beds alight because they could no longer sleep on them.
“For ages now, students have been asking that their beds be changed. The building at Hospital Road is a university-owned building. The university has changed the beds at residences on campus. The same must be applied to off-campus residences,” said Hlongwa.
“The students are saying the i

Motsoaledi: We can’t wait to improve healthcare before implementing NHI
Government does not believe it can wait until the healthcare system is improved before implementing national health insurance, Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has said.
The minister was speaking at a briefing at Tuynhuys, Parliament, where the report of the outcomes of the presidential health summit, held late last year, was released.
During his address on Tuesday, Motsoaledi said government would be taking significant steps towards implementing universal healthcare.
Last week, president Cyril Ramaphosa said that the National Health Insurance Bill would be tabled before Parliament this year.
NHI will ensure that South Africans can receive free health services at the point of care at both public and private quality-accredited healthcare service providers, Motsoaledi said.
NHI is a proposed state-run health financing system that aims to pool funds to provide access to quality health services for all South Africans regardless of their economic status.

Was Marikana Mining Massacre to protect Lonmin Platinum? Was dispute between 9% owner, Cyril Ramaphosa and workers & not between 2 unions as portrayed by mainstream media, to protect an Oligarch.
Please be mindful that the Marikana Massacre occurred at the time when Cyril Ramaphosa was Deputy President of South Africa. Lawyers investigating the 2012 Marikana massacre said at the time that Cyril Ramaphosa, South Africa’s deputy president, could face charges at the International Criminal Court following the killings of 34 miners. The lawyers wanted murder..

National Health Insurance legislation will hit private hospital sector’s future investment and capital expenditure, NHI laws threaten 132,000 jobs
National Health Insurance (NHI), which the government is pushing as the solution to SA’s health crisis, could lead to the loss of up to 132,000 jobs, according to the country’s private hospital groups.
NHI, spearheaded by health minister Aaron Motsoaledi, is the government’s policy for introducing universal health coverage and aims to ensure everyone has access to healthcare that is free at the point of service.
The Hospital Association of SA (Hasa), which represents the private hospital sector, was among the industry groups that presented their views on the risks to the economy at last week’s Business Unity SA (Busa) meeting.
The gathering brought together business and government leaders, who have been trying to forge a closer relationship under the auspices of the Public Private Growth Initiative spearheaded by former politician Roelf Meyer and Toyota Europe and Africa CEO Johan van Zyl.
Hasa commissioned economics consultancy Econex to analyse th
