The Madibeng Mayor, Jostina Mothibe and the Acting Municipal Manager, Morris Maluleka are allegedly in the process of packing their bags for an overseas trip to Malaysia from 7 to 13 February at a cost of R529 595 per person to attend a World Urban Forum.
“The Democratic Alliance has written to the Madibeng(Brits) Mayor, Jostina Mothibe, urging her to reconsider a R1 million overseas trip. We have also referred this matter to the DA Shadow Minister for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Kevin Mileham MP to intervene on a national level to stop this trip,” says, Jan C Van Rhyn, DA Councillor Madibeng.
