Former South African international star Naka Drotske is in critical condition in hospital after being shot three times during a farm attack in Pretoria. Drotske, 47, stormed the farm attackers who shot him and then fled. He won the Rugby Union World Cup with South Africa in 1995 and was with another former Springboks star, Os du Randt, when the incident occurred.

“They broke down the flat bar burglar-proofing with a shifting spanner.” Two dogs that surprised the killers of a woman in Kameeldrift at the weekend were also fatally wounded.
