The 2018 Matric shame: One more indication that SA is indefinitely a banana republic - Matric certificate is worth nothing in SA after failing pupils marks are adjusted so that they can pass

Seventeen of the 67 subjects in the matric exam of 2018 marks were adjusted upwards and eleven subjects’ marks were adjusted downwards. This means that 25% of the total subjects ‘marks have been adjusted upwards, while nearly 42% of all subjects have been adjusted – it is not reported which subjects’ marks have been adjusted..
