The full bank of judges in Pretoria Supreme Court ruled that Jacob Zuma had to pay for all his legal costs for the cases taken to court on the decisions of former public protector Thuli Madonsela.
Zuma’s application for appeal has been rejected and he must also pay this court case.
In December last year, Zuma requested his legal representative to appeal against the finding of state capture.
Afterwards he started a dispute about who should pay the court costs, but two opposition parties joined forces in the battle that lost Zuma eventually lost on Friday.
Zuma has been ordered by the court to repay the difference in amount between R17 million and R32 million to the state, as it is court fees incurred for its own sake regarding its corruption and money laundering.
Someone later made a remark outside the court saying that Zuma met his match and that he felt the horror of experiencing a Black Friday.
