Eskom’s stock coal at the 15 power stations is still low and the possibility of power interruptions becomes an even greater possibility.
Eskom is now trying to get new suppliers to fill the coal shortage. Of the 15 power stations, only 4 stations have sufficient coal. The coal producers now enter the rainy season, which means that certain open grooves will prevent mining production.
Many of Eskom’s suppliers are currently under judicial management, which means that suppliers can not fulfill their businesses.
Ramaphosa is currently in the process of recovering the struggling economy, with shrinkage it will further weaken the economy.
