Unlike Vice President David Mabuza, who asked for a postponement, three more ANC members removed their names from the inaugural list yesterday.
Former Speaker Baleka Mbete and former Home Secretary, Malusi Gigaba, have removed their names from the ANC’s list and are not available to serve as MPs.
Nomvula Mokonyane, the Minister of Environmental Affairs also announced that she was no longer available because of family matters. She was also accused earlier of being part of the Bosasa scandal.
So far, the three are the only ANC members to have their names removed from the list, and now David Mabuza is being watched to see if they are finally withdrawing.
The ANC has been severely criticized for persons appearing on the list of names while directly or indirectly involved in alleged state creation and corruption.
