A woman was stabbed and wounded in a house robbery in Moreleta Park, east of Pretoria, in the early hours of Monday.
ER24 paramedics called to scene and found her and her 15-year-old daughter being consoled by Bull Security members, said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.
“Paramedics found she had sustained numerous lacerations and stab wounds to on her arms and legs,” he said.
The woman also suffered injuries to her chest when she was apparently hit with a hammer. Fortunately, the daughter escaped injury.
Meiring said the victim was treated on scene and then taken to a nearby provincial hospital.
“The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
Bull Security spokesperson French Jooste said the robbery was committed in Wekker Street just before 02:56.
“We received a panic signal from our client who informed us about two men in his yard. When we arrived, the suspects had already left,” he said.
It turned out that the two robbers fled through our client’s yard after they attacked and robbed the woman next door.
Jooste said the woman was stabbed in the arm and hip with a screwdriver.
The two robbers fled with a few house items, he said.
