Earlier on Thursday morning violence erupted when approximately 30 Military Police vehicles and 7 Ratels were deployed to remove “illegal immigrants” in Marievale, a residential area is situated between Nigel and Springs. More than 50 people were taken to Dunnottar SAPS. Several were assaulted. Residents and police officials were denied access to the residential area..
