South African Defence Force deployed to forcefully remove residence – somewhere someone abused their powers

Earlier on Thursday morning violence erupted when approximately 30 Military Police vehicles and 7 Ratels were deployed to remove “illegal immigrants” in Marievale,  a residential area is situated between Nigel and Springs. More than 50 people were taken to Dunnottar SAPS. Several were assaulted. Residents and police officials were denied access to the residential area situated on the military bas.

Residents of Marievale have been given 24-hours notice  on Thursday May 25, 2017 to vacate their homes.

The main entrance was closed between 4pm and 8pm.

According to a reliable source the Shadow Minister of Defence MP Kobus Marias was informed of this occurrence. Marais conferred that the whole procedure used by the Military was unlawful in every way as regards to the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.  In addition the Human Rights was also violated in this incident.

At the time of writing it is not known for certain that the said immigrants, are actually immigrants.

A case was opened up at the local Police Station against the SANDF  as well as against the CO’s of the Dunnottor Military Base and Marievale Military Base.

The point at issue is how will the Minister of Defence will  respond  when questioned  with regards to the  fact that Human Rights were violated by Military Personnel whilst they are obligated to protect the South African citizen not intimidate them.

My question is:  Did the Minister of Defense truly give her permission for such an operation to take place? Is she that reckless to further deepen the current stand of the ruling party into a black hole? How is she going to answer for this in Parliament when she is embarrassed in front of all MP’ Ministers and the president. Somewhere someone abused their power and will now have to answer !!!
